The former employee used their real name, which is rare in whistleblowing cases. Neither Song nor her studio has responded or denied anything. On August 27, 2024, Song Zuer's studio broke silence after one year and released an official statement regarding the incident that she had been verified by the tax authorities to have no tax evasion and had not been subject to administrative penalties for tax matters.
