Jean-Claude Breton is a renowned French maître d'hôtel and hospitality professional, best known to television audiences for his appearances alongside culinary titan Gordon Ramsay. Breton first stepped into the media spotlight in the landmark 1999 British television docuseries "Boiling Point," which tracked the chaotic and high-stakes opening of Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, London. His calm, refined demeanour and front-of-house expertise provided a sharp, compelling contrast to Ramsay’s legendary kitchen intensity. Breton followed this with appearances in the 2000 sequel series, "Gordon Ramsay: Beyond Boiling Point." Beyond his foundational role in these influential fly-on-the-wall culinary documentaries, Breton spent 24 years as the operational anchor of Ramsay's flagship three-Michelin-starred establishment until his retirement from the venue in 2022.
